The two gorgeous mid-century club chairs are in great condition. As can be seen from a sideview, the chairs have the incredibly attractive relaxed stance that is very noticeable in the slightly rearward slope of each armrest. While there does not appear to be any discernible identification marks or dates on the chairs, the steel zig-zag springs under the burlap lining on the underside of each chair along with their thick wooden frames and wide wooden armrests are consistent with high-quality furniture manufactured in the 1950's and 1960's. Also, each of the chairs have four tapered pedestal-style wooden legs that have a slightly distressed teak-brown stain. The wide one-piece wooden armrests have a grain that appears to be consistent with teak wood. The medium to dark-medium teak-brown stain on the armrests are further enhanced by the beige, copper, white, teal, and brown colored stripes woven into the beautiful burlap material.
Please note that screen resolution and/or original lighting could cause the colors to appear lighter or darker than actual. Also, it is important to note that the material is very consistent with a soft burlap with woven accent stripes.
The grayish bottom cover on each chair has an opening so that each interior underside could be inspected. Other than this, there are no breaks, cracks, rips, bad odors, or repair places on either of these beautiful mid-century club chairs. There are some vintage wear, age, and rub marks on the chairs - mainly in the form of slight distress and/or marks on the tapered wooden feet. Also, the beautiful material has some slight surface wear and/or discolored areas - mainly on the edges and/or fronts of the armrests. It is important to point out that since these gorgeous chairs were already very clean, there was no need in subjecting the upholstery to cleaning chemicals. However, each chair has been thoroughly vacuumed. While a material shaver was used to remove some pilings in the fabric, there may still be a couple that were missed due to the busyness of the material.
The decorative possibilities for these gorgeous mid-century club chairs are many. The living room or den would be enhanced by the addition of these incredibly gorgeous mid-century club chairs. Also, the open great-room or home-office would welcome these relaxed lounge-style club chairs for their rich teak-brown wood, cozy beige and brown color palette, burlap material with woven accent stripes, and mid-century modern charm. In addition, the growing collection of mid-century style furnishings would increase in value and interest upon the arrival of these very comfortable beige and brown club chairs.
The collector will appreciate these gorgeous mid-century club chairs for their great condition, wide one-piece wooden armrests, rich teak-brown tone, beige and brown color palette, burlap material with woven accent stripes, mid-century modern charm, and beautiful overall appearance.
Each of the gorgeous mid-century club chairs weigh approximately 800 oz. or 50 lbs.
Each beige and brown mid-century club chair measures approximately 31" tall to the top of the back x 28.75" wide from outside to outside x 32" deep from front to back.
Each seat measures approximately 15.5" tall from the floor to the top of the cushion in the front x 21.5" wide from inside to inside between the armrests x 21" deep.
Each back section measures approximately 18.5" tall from the surface of the seat to the top of the back x 23" wide at the top from outside to outside.

***Note on Measurements: All measurements are taken and described as close as possible. Where only an approximate measurement is available we will put approximately in the listing.
***Our Measurements for clothing are taken with the garment laying flat with closures fastened - zippers are zipped and buttons buttoned.
***The Bust measurement is obtained by measuring across the flat chest of the garment from armpit to armpit and then multiplying that number by two. To get the chest measurement simply divide the Bust by two.
***We clean our vintage inventory of surface dirt and dust before we list it on our site. We would not want to receive something dirty so we are not going to send our customers something with original dust or dirt. Therefore, after shipping we generally recommend all items be cleaned before use. This is not always because they are considered unclean but simply to make you aware of the possibility of needing to be cleaned after shipping and handling. This does three things: (1) It helps you know your item, (2) It helps you ensure your item is clean according to your standards, and (3) It removes any dust or grime that may have come from the shipping and delivery process.
***Unless noted in the description, we normally do not polish or repaint our inventory as many of our customers prefer the vintage patina look over a new painted or polished appearance.
***Please pay close attention to the pictures as they may show more than I may be able to explain.
***Please note that sometimes we enhance our pictures for sharpness and clarity.
***We aim to be good stewards of our planet; therefore, we may use or reuse boxes and/or packing that are clean and ship worthy.
***The year of production or year-it-was-made is an estimate based on experience, similar items, and/or appearance.
***Textiles and Fabrics such as linens, tapestries, clothing, tablecloths, or simple craft materials may be wrinkled or have lines upon arrival as they are folded for shipping. It is recommended they be laid out or hung up.
***As is common with pre-owned items they could have little marks that are not so easily detectable - we refer to these as vintage wear and rub marks. While I do personally inspect each item, I can miss small marks that may not show up with regular inside light. That being said, I try to be very picky and careful to make sure the details are explained truthfully, honestly, and upfront.
***Virtually all pre-owned items have vintage wear and rub marks. This is simply a term that we have coined to point out that because: (1) they are older, (2) most likely they are not in their original plastic, wrapping, or packaging, (3) have been stored, (4) transported, (5) and handled - they are very likely to have little, small, or slight discolorations, marks, places, wear, etc. Hence, this is why we often have longer descriptions. We try very hard to make sure you know what we know.
