The collectible SONY 5 Disc CD Changer is in great to excellent condition. The photos were taken while this gorgeous SONY CD player was powered on. While there were no speakers hooked up to the player, the turn-table and buttons are all in great working condition. Even more, the opening and closing of the front door along with the rotation of the turn-table gives the impression this collectible SONY 5 Disc CD Changer has barely been used. Along with this, the lack of very many marks on the ground-fault plug-in reveals that this CD player has spent much of its life inside of a closed entertainment center. While the back information shows this SONY CD player was made in Malaysia, the accompanying sticker shows that it was actually certified in Tokyo, Japan in October 1994. Also, there are red and white RCA jacks on the back under the "LINE OUT" heading. In addition, the back information shows it has a 120 Volt 60 Hertz 14 Watt power rating. There are "PLAY MODE" buttons of "CONTINUE", "SHUFFLE", and "PROGRAM" along with a "REPEAT" button near the top left of the front with buttons for DISC 1 - 5 just below. The black horizontal door has "5 DISC EX-CHANGE SYSTEM" across the front in gold-colored font. The top right has "COMPACT DISC PLAYER" with a model number of "CDP-C345" to its right. In addition to the control buttons on the front right, there is a "DISC SKIP" "OPEN/CLOSE" and an "EX-CHANGE" button near the top right of the front. The information on the bottom left of the front says, "HIGH DENSITY LINEAR CONVERTER" with "DIGITAL SERVO SYSTEM" just below in gold-colored font. The smaller group of four buttons near the bottom left include buttons for "MUSIC SCAN", "PEAK SEARCH", "TIME", and "FADER". To the right of the ten center buttons of 1-10, there are four buttons for "EDIT/TIME FADE", "CHECK", ">10", and "CLEAR". In addition, it is important to note that the very-black case helps to enhance the awesome retro vintage dash colors - especially the lighting. While the actual metal case has more of a matte-black finish, the brushed-plastic face on the front is incredibly shiny. Also, there are four plastic feet on the bottom to keep the CD player above the surface.
Please note that screen resolution and/or original lighting could cause the colors to appear lighter or darker than actual. The CD Changer has not been taken apart, sprayed-down and/or polished-up to make it look better for the photos - it is simply very clean. Also, due to the very-black finish, there may be some fingerprints that simply need wiping over after shipping. In addition, its important to note that the brushed-black face on this CD Changer has an aluminum-like look but feels synthetic plastic-like to the touch. Hence, the description simply uses plastic-like to describe the front even though it has a much-nicer-than-plastic appearance.
There are no breaks, cracks, chips, or repair marks on this gorgeous SONY 5 Disc CD Changer. There are some vintage wear, age, and rub marks on the CD player - mainly in the form of very slight surface marks or scratches on the matte-black metal case. Also, there are a couple of faint and small marks on the front that may come off with the proper rubbing. While we have carefully gone over this gorgeous SONY CD player to simply wipe away any accumulated dust, there are still some very insignificant tiny dust particles in some of the corners and/or crevices of the buttons that simply show up due to the shiny black finish. Furthermore, it is important to note that every effort has been made to preserve the incredibly gorgeous retro finish.
The decorative possibilities for this incredibly gorgeous SONY 5 Disc CD Changer are many. The living room or den would be enhanced by the addition of this collectible 1994 SONY 5 Disc CD Changer. Also, the open floating shelf or corner accent table would welcome this SONY 5 Disc CD Changer for its easy-to-display low-profile design and retro entertainment charm. In addition, the growing collection of vintage electronics would increase in value and interest upon the arrival of this unique Tokyo, Japan-certified 1994 SONY 5 Disc CD Changer.
The collector will appreciate this gorgeous very-black SONY 5 Disc CD Changer for its great to excellent condition, smooth operating movements, simple straightforward controls, low-profile design, retro entertainment charm, and beautiful overall appearance.
The collectible SONY 5 Disc CD Changer weighs approximately 199 oz.
The gorgeous black SONY 5 Disc CD Changer measures approximately 4 11/16" tall including the feet or 4 3/16" tall without the feet - case only x 17 7/8" wide across the front from outside to outside x 15.25" deep including the buttons and rear jacks or 14 13/16" deep for case only.

***Note on Measurements: All measurements are taken and described as close as possible. Where only an approximate measurement is available we will put approximately in the listing.
***Our Measurements for clothing are taken with the garment laying flat with closures fastened - zippers are zipped and buttons buttoned.
***The Bust measurement is obtained by measuring across the flat chest of the garment from armpit to armpit and then multiplying that number by two. To get the chest measurement simply divide the Bust by two.
***We clean our vintage inventory of surface dirt and dust before we list it on our site. We would not want to receive something dirty so we are not going to send our customers something with original dust or dirt. Therefore, after shipping we generally recommend all items be cleaned before use. This is not always because they are considered unclean but simply to make you aware of the possibility of needing to be cleaned after shipping and handling. This does three things: (1) It helps you know your item, (2) It helps you ensure your item is clean according to your standards, and (3) It removes any dust or grime that may have come from the shipping and delivery process.
***Unless noted in the description, we normally do not polish or repaint our inventory as many of our customers prefer the vintage patina look over a new painted or polished appearance.
***Please pay close attention to the pictures as they may show more than I may be able to explain.
***Please note that sometimes we enhance our pictures for sharpness and clarity.
***We aim to be good stewards of our planet; therefore, we may use or reuse boxes and/or packing that are clean and ship worthy.
***The year of production or year-it-was-made is an estimate based on experience, similar items, and/or appearance.
***Textiles and Fabrics such as linens, tapestries, clothing, tablecloths, or simple craft materials may be wrinkled or have lines upon arrival as they are folded for shipping. It is recommended they be laid out or hung up.
***As is common with pre-owned items they could have little marks that are not so easily detectable - we refer to these as vintage wear and rub marks. While I do personally inspect each item, I can miss small marks that may not show up with regular inside light. That being said, I try to be very picky and careful to make sure the details are explained truthfully, honestly, and upfront.
***Virtually all pre-owned items have vintage wear and rub marks. This is simply a term that we have coined to point out that because: (1) they are older, (2) most likely they are not in their original plastic, wrapping, or packaging, (3) have been stored, (4) transported, (5) and handled - they are very likely to have little, small, or slight discolorations, marks, places, wear, etc. Hence, this is why we often have longer descriptions. We try very hard to make sure you know what we know.
