Vintage Canning Pot, Blue Enamel, Distressed & Rustic, Enamelware Cauldron, Porcelain Steel, Handle w Lid, Home Decor, Primitive Kitchen

$276.40 $345.50

The large blue enamel canning pot is in good condition. The gorgeous distressed rustic appearance on this canning pot enhances the purple-blue color. The particular blue color on this canning pot is very hard to find on larger cauldron-style canning pots. There are no discernible marks for identification on this beautiful blue enamel canning pot. While it is hard to be for certain concerning the identification of the maker of this pot, the blue color is very unique and certainly rare. According to references, the color is sometimes an indicator of a French-style or "Made in France" enamel canning pot. Also, the size and overall appearance of this canning pot is very similar to what is sometimes referred to as a cauldron. Unlike cast iron cauldrons, this canning pot is made of steel - commonly referred to as porcelain-steel. The sturdy wire-like arm has a beautifully aged and distressed black wooden handle in the center. The larger size, rustic distressed appearance, unique purple-blue color, and enameled porcelain-steel body give this gorgeous canning pot a very primitive country-farmhouse charm.

Please note that screen resolution and/or original lighting could cause the colors to appear lighter or darker than actual.

There are places of distress and surface rust on the canning pot and lid. Other than that there are no holes, deep dents, loose sections, or repair places on this gorgeous primitive blue enamel canning pot. There are some vintage wear, age, and rub marks on the canning pot and lid - mainly in the form of rustic distress and wear due to age and/or use.

The decorative possibilities for this beautiful blue enamel canning pot are many. The primitive country-farmhouse kitchen would be enhanced by the addition of this large blue enamel canning pot. Also, the open collectibles shelf would welcome this beautiful blue enamel cooking pot for its distressed rustic appearance and primitive country-farmhouse charm. In addition, the lodge, man-cave, or she-shed would be great places to display this large distressed and rustic canning pot with either a huge seasonal grouping of flowers or simply placed on an accent table with its beautiful blue lid leaning up against its side.

The collector will appreciate this large distressed and rustic blue enamel porcelain-steel canning pot for its good condition, unique purple-blue color, primitive country-farmhouse charm, and gorgeous overall appearance.

The large purplish-blue enamel canning pot weighs approximately 72 oz.

The large primitive blue enamel canning pot measures 11" tall to the top of the handle on the lid or 8.5" tall to the top of the rim x 15 5/8" wide across the rim from outside to outside x 12" wide across the base from outside to outside.

When the handle is up, it stands above the rim approximately 8.75" tall to the bottom of the handle or 9.5" tall to the top.

***Note on Measurements: All measurements are taken and described as close as possible. Where only an approximate measurement is available we will put approximately in the listing.

***Our Measurements for clothing are taken with the garment laying flat with closures fastened - zippers are zipped and buttons buttoned.

***The Bust measurement is obtained by measuring across the flat chest of the garment from armpit to armpit and then multiplying that number by two. To get the chest measurement simply divide the Bust by two.

***We clean our vintage inventory of surface dirt and dust before we list it on our site. We would not want to receive something dirty so we are not going to send our customers something with original dust or dirt. Therefore, after shipping we generally recommend all items be cleaned before use. This is not always because they are considered unclean but simply to make you aware of the possibility of needing to be cleaned after shipping and handling. This does three things: (1) It helps you know your item, (2) It helps you ensure your item is clean according to your standards, and (3) It removes any dust or grime that may have come from the shipping and delivery process.

***Unless noted in the description, we normally do not polish or repaint our inventory as many of our customers prefer the vintage patina look over a new painted or polished appearance.

***Please pay close attention to the pictures as they may show more than I may be able to explain.

***Please note that sometimes we enhance our pictures for sharpness and clarity.

***We aim to be good stewards of our planet; therefore, we may use or reuse boxes and/or packing that are clean and ship worthy.

***The year of production or year-it-was-made is an estimate based on experience, similar items, and/or appearance.

***Textiles and Fabrics such as linens, tapestries, clothing, tablecloths, or simple craft materials may be wrinkled or have lines upon arrival as they are folded for shipping. It is recommended they be laid out or hung up.

***As is common with pre-owned items they could have little marks that are not so easily detectable - we refer to these as vintage wear and rub marks. While I do personally inspect each item, I can miss small marks that may not show up with regular inside light. That being said, I try to be very picky and careful to make sure the details are explained truthfully, honestly, and upfront.

***Virtually all pre-owned items have vintage wear and rub marks. This is simply a term that we have coined to point out that because: (1) they are older, (2) most likely they are not in their original plastic, wrapping, or packaging, (3) have been stored, (4) transported, (5) and handled - they are very likely to have little, small, or slight discolorations, marks, places, wear, etc. Hence, this is why we often have longer descriptions. We try very hard to make sure you know what we know.
