Vintage Succulent Planters (2), Blown Case Glass, Small Globular Vase, Gold & Brown, Transition Art, Home Decor, White Interior, Collectible

$110.00 $137.50

The two globular-shaped blown-glass succulent planters are in great to excellent condition. While it is obvious from the photos that the vases are almost a matching pair, it is also obvious that each are incredibly unique. The reason behind their particular differences can be traced back to the way each of these gorgeous planter vases were created. The bottom of each planter has a very noticeable pontil scar which indicates that each of these planters are in essence "one-off" blown-glass pieces. They were each individually made by a very talented and experienced glassmith - sometimes referred to as a gaffer. Also, the white interior of each planter vase is very consistent with "case-glass" pieces. By adding color to the interior can sometimes allow for slower transitions between exterior colors since less light is able to pass through from the backside. Hence, the stunning smoke transition from gold to brown to near black at the base of each blown-glass planter vase. In addition to their gorgeous transitional colors, each planter has slight imperfections which add to their overall unique appearance. Each planter has some very slight waves, pinholes, and/or other imperfections in the glass. Even more, the planter with the fainter "distressed looking" rim has very noticeable air bubbles in the glass. In contrast, the planter with the deeper white color at the top has a much more out-of-level rim than the other. All of these incredible features come together to give these beautiful blown-glass planter vases a very eclectic-boho charm.

Please note that screen resolution and/or original lighting can sometimes cause the colors to appear lighter or darker than actual. Also, the ChapStick is not included in this listing as it was used for scale purposes only.

There are no breaks, cracks, chips, or repair places on these beautiful globular-shaped blown-glass succulent planters. There are some very slight vintage wear, age, and rub marks on the glass planters - mainly on the bottom of each planter where they have come in contact with different surfaces. As previously noted, there are imperfections in the glass of each planter which add to their desirability and unique beauty. Also, the white color on one rim is more faint than the other. The planters are very clean and do not appear to have ever been used to hold soil, water, or sand.

The decorative possibilities for these gorgeous blown-glass succulent planters are many. The china cabinet or display curio would be enhanced by the addition of these beautiful glass treasures. Also, the open collectibles shelf, bookcase, or accent table would welcome these gorgeous glass planters for their stunning eclectic-boho charm. In addition, the growing collection of art-glass would increase in value and interest upon the arrival of these small and very unique blown-glass succulent planters.

The collector will appreciate these beautiful globular-shaped blown-glass succulent planters for their great to excellent condition, smaller size, stunning color transitions, eclectic-boho charm, and gorgeous overall appearance.

Both of these gorgeous gold and brown blown case-glass planters weigh 13.5 oz.

The small globular-shaped planter vase with the slightly distressed rim measures approximately 2 15/16" tall x 1 7/8" wide across the rim from outside to outside x 2" wide across the base from outside to outside.

The small globular-shaped planter vase with the more out-of-level rim measures approximately 3" tall x 1 15/16" wide across the rim from outside to outside x 2" wide across the base from outside to outside.

Each opening measures approximately 1.25" across from inside to inside.

Each of these small case-glass planter vases measure approximately 9 5/16" in diameter around their largest area.

***Note on Measurements: All measurements are taken and described as close as possible. Where only an approximate measurement is available we will put approximately in the listing.

***Our Measurements for clothing are taken with the garment laying flat with closures fastened - zippers are zipped and buttons buttoned.

***The Bust measurement is obtained by measuring across the flat chest of the garment from armpit to armpit and then multiplying that number by two. To get the chest measurement simply divide the Bust by two.

***We clean our vintage inventory of surface dirt and dust before we list it on our site. We would not want to receive something dirty so we are not going to send our customers something with original dust or dirt. Therefore, after shipping we generally recommend all items be cleaned before use. This is not always because they are considered unclean but simply to make you aware of the possibility of needing to be cleaned after shipping and handling. This does three things: (1) It helps you know your item, (2) It helps you ensure your item is clean according to your standards, and (3) It removes any dust or grime that may have come from the shipping and delivery process.

***Unless noted in the description, we normally do not polish or repaint our inventory as many of our customers prefer the vintage patina look over a new painted or polished appearance.

***Please pay close attention to the pictures as they may show more than I may be able to explain.

***Please note that sometimes we enhance our pictures for sharpness and clarity.

***We aim to be good stewards of our planet; therefore, we may use or reuse boxes and/or packing that are clean and ship worthy.

***The year of production or year-it-was-made is an estimate based on experience, similar items, and/or appearance.

***Textiles and Fabrics such as linens, tapestries, clothing, tablecloths, or simple craft materials may be wrinkled or have lines upon arrival as they are folded for shipping. It is recommended they be laid out or hung up.

***As is common with pre-owned items they could have little marks that are not so easily detectable - we refer to these as vintage wear and rub marks. While I do personally inspect each item, I can miss small marks that may not show up with regular inside light. That being said, I try to be very picky and careful to make sure the details are explained truthfully, honestly, and upfront.

***Virtually all pre-owned items have vintage wear and rub marks. This is simply a term that we have coined to point out that because: (1) they are older, (2) most likely they are not in their original plastic, wrapping, or packaging, (3) have been stored, (4) transported, (5) and handled - they are very likely to have little, small, or slight discolorations, marks, places, wear, etc. Hence, this is why we often have longer descriptions. We try very hard to make sure you know what we know.
