Vintage Burl Wall Clock, Live Edge Cypress, Wall Hanging Decor, Rustic Brass, Quartz Movement, Battery Operated, Carved Face, Copper Brown

The gorgeous burl wood wall clock is in very good to great condition. This beautiful burl wood wall clock is also in great working condition. However, the look and appeal of the entirety of this beautiful wall-hanging clock includes the rustic and worn brass hands, the natural fissures from the aging of the wood, and the inconsistency in the live edge bark. According to references, this particular slab was taken from a Cypress tree. The very rare and unique aspect of this particular burl slab is that it was harvested with six fingers and a seventh in the making. While burl wood is beautiful in its own right, the extending fingers/arms of this wall-clock enhance the already precious appearance of the burl. Also, to have an actual live-edge on a Cypress slab with apparent and obvious age is very special. According to references, many Cypress slabs with only a few fingers/arms are either presented without the bark or with the bark encapsulated in shellac.

The beautiful inset face has been painstakingly carved making an impressive appearance of depth when the clock is viewed face-on or at an angle. The Roman numerals and gold colored dots are under the shellac.

The metal wall-hanging wire is copper that is securely held in place with nails at the top and steeple-like fasteners at the bottom.

The battery operated movement is "Quartz" and "Made in USA". The quartz movement runs on one "AA" battery. According to references, "AA" batteries first appeared circa 1947.

Please note that while this gorgeous wall-clock is currently working, the aged battery-operated movement mechanism may need replaced at some point simply due to age and/or use.

There are some cracks/fissures in the wood - one of which is larger. While it could certainly be supported with adhesives and/or a metal joint on the backside, the fasteners for metal wire hanger are located above and below the fissure giving this particular area support. The rustic metal hands on the clock have developing patina. Also, the thin metal hands have been bent in the past as can be seen in their semi-wavy appearance. In addition, the rustic appeal of the hands match the overall character of this gorgeous multi-finger burl wood wall clock.

Other than these areas, there are no water damages, bad odors, deep cracks, or problem areas. There are some vintage wear, age, and rub places on this gorgeous burl wood wall-hanging clock - mainly in the form of inconsistencies in the live-edge bark and rustic patina appearance.

The decorative possibilities for this beautiful burl wood Cypress slab wall-hanging clock are many. The entryway or living area would be enhanced by the addition of this beautiful coppery brown live edge wall-clock. Also, the man-cave or hunting lodge would welcome this stunning burl wood wall-hanging decoration for its rare multi-finger and actual live-edge appearance. In addition, this is the sort of piece that makes a timeless heirloom treasure. The naturally rare burl wood appearance with an actual live-edge makes this a great piece to add to a growing collection of wall-clocks, carved wood collectibles, and other unique rarities.

The collector will appreciate this gorgeous wall-hanging burl wood wall clock for its very good to great condition and naturally rare multi-finger live-edge appearance.

The gorgeous burl wood wall clock weighs 130.5 oz.

The live edge Cypress wood slab wall-hanging decor measures approximately 19" tall x 20" wide x 3.5" deep and 4" deep including the hands.

If you are from outside the United States and you wish to purchase this product put in your correct address and it should populate a quote. If a shipping cost cannot be populated outside of the United States it is possible that the item is too big to be shipped or it is listed for local pickup only. However, please check with me to make sure as sometimes there could be system errors. If you have further questions concerning shipping outside of the USA please contact me.

***Note on Measurements: All measurements are taken and described as close as possible. Where only an approximate measurement is available we will put approximately in the listing.

***Our Measurements for clothing are taken with the garment laying flat with closures fastened - zippers are zipped and buttons buttoned.

***The Bust measurement is obtained by measuring across the flat chest of the garment from armpit to armpit and then multiplying that number by two. To get the chest measurement simply divide the Bust by two.

***We clean our vintage inventory of surface dirt and dust before we list it on our site. We would not want to receive something dirty so we are not going to send our customers something with original dust or dirt. Therefore, after shipping we generally recommend all items be cleaned before use. This is not always because they are considered unclean but simply to make you aware of the possibility of needing to be cleaned after shipping and handling. This does three things: (1) It helps you know your item, (2) It helps you ensure your item is clean according to your standards, and (3) It removes any dust or grime that may have come from the shipping and delivery process.

***Unless noted in the description, we normally do not polish or repaint our inventory as many of our customers prefer the vintage patina look over a new painted or polished appearance.

***Please pay close attention to the pictures as they may show more than I may be able to explain.

***Please note that sometimes we enhance our pictures for sharpness and clarity.

***We aim to be good stewards of our planet; therefore, we may use or reuse boxes and/or packing that are clean and ship worthy.

***The year of production or year-it-was-made is an estimate based on experience, similar items, and/or appearance.

***Textiles and Fabrics such as linens, tapestries, clothing, tablecloths, or simple craft materials may be wrinkled or have lines upon arrival as they are folded for shipping. It is recommended they be laid out or hung up.

***As is common with pre-owned items they could have little marks that are not so easily detectable - we refer to these as vintage wear and rub marks. While I do personally inspect each item, I can miss small marks that may not show up with regular inside light. That being said, I try to be very picky and careful to make sure the details are explained truthfully, honestly, and upfront.

***Virtually all pre-owned items have vintage wear and rub marks. This is simply a term that we have coined to point out that because: (1) they are older, (2) most likely they are not in their original plastic, wrapping, or packaging, (3) have been stored, (4) transported, (5) and handled - they are very likely to have little, small, or slight discolorations, marks, places, wear, etc. Hence, this is why we often have longer descriptions. We try very hard to make sure you know what we know.
