The gorgeous heavy brass Stiffel table lamp is in excellent working condition. The Acanthus design center section sits atop a square shaped base with inwardly curved sides. The turn-style power knob is located on the top of the base. The bottom of this gorgeous table lamp has four brass feet that are held on with a center screw. To open the bottom of the lamp, simply remove the four screws and the black metal plate will come off.
The socket is a UL Listed 660 Watt 250 Volt made in the USA Leviton bulb socket.
Please note that there is felt on the bottom of the feet in the pictures. However, the felt was loose so it was removed and replaced with new felt to make sure surfaces are protected from the brass feet.
On the inside of the base there is a number 1222 made into the brass. According to a reference, model numbers are no longer made into the lamps using this method. Since the model numbers are either shown via a foil sticker or identified solely by their appearance in a catalog. In addition, the four feet on the bottom with the accompanying metal plate is an indicator that this particular Stiffel table lamp was made in or around the 1970's - 1980's.
The lamp shade is included with the lamp because it is the lamp shade that actually came with the lamp. The Art Deco shape and beautiful fringed bottom are both elegant and inviting. The lamp shade is in very good condition considering its apparent age and intended purpose - to set over a shining warm/hot bulb. There are some vintage wear and age places on the lamp shade - mainly on the interior where the plastic has cracked. Some of the cracking shows a small puffy place on the exterior of the lamp shade. Also, there is a small faint spot on the exterior at the top of the fringe that is hardly noticeable. It is not a spot of color but closer to a shadow spot and is about the size of a dime.
There are no breaks, cracks, chips, or missing pieces on this gorgeous heavy brass table lamp. The lamp is so clean that it is hard to find anything to note. However, one of the screws that hold the brass feet onto the bottom of the lamp base was loose so we applied super glue to make sure it did not come out. The foot is still removable and this does not affect the lamp. However, since the screw is loose because the threads were weaker, we did not want to risk loosing that matching brass foot from this gorgeous collectible Stiffel table lamp. Even though they are a little loose around the edges, the stickers are still intact on the socket.
The electrical cord is in great to excellent working condition. There does not appear to be any wear or rub places on the cord.
The decorative possibilities for this beautiful heavy brass Stiffel table lamp are many. The decorative themes open to this gorgeous Stiffel table lamp run in many directions. The heavy brass is right at home in the mid-century or tropical themes. Also, the Acanthus is sometimes alternatively described as having a pineapple design. Hence, this gorgeous table lamp would look great in the beach, nautical, and/or Bohemian areas. The accent table or entryway area would welcome this beautiful vintage table lamp. Also, this would be a great light to use in a den or study area because of the location of the turn knob being on the top side of the base. This would also be a great lamp to add to a growing collection of Stiffel lamps. The rare metal cover on the base with the accompanying four brass feet make this a very unique Stiffel treasure.
The collector will appreciate this gorgeous heavy brass Stiffel table lamp for its excellent condition and unique overall design.
The gorgeous heavy brass Stiffel table lamp with shade weighs 183.9 oz.
The beautiful heavy brass electric table lamp measures 26.5" tall to the top of the finial post and 19.5" tall to the top of the bulb socket.
The square shaped base measures 5.75" x 5.75".
The girth of the round center section at the top of the Acanthus design measures approximately 6".
The Art Deco style lamp shade measures approximately 15.5" from side to side x 8.5" tall - not including the fringes.
The dangling fringes measure approximately 1.75" tall.

***Note on Measurements: All measurements are taken and described as close as possible. Where only an approximate measurement is available we will put approximately in the listing.
***Our Measurements for clothing are taken with the garment laying flat with closures fastened - zippers are zipped and buttons buttoned.
***The Bust measurement is obtained by measuring across the flat chest of the garment from armpit to armpit and then multiplying that number by two. To get the chest measurement simply divide the Bust by two.
***We clean our vintage inventory of surface dirt and dust before we list it on our site. We would not want to receive something dirty so we are not going to send our customers something with original dust or dirt. Therefore, after shipping we generally recommend all items be cleaned before use. This is not always because they are considered unclean but simply to make you aware of the possibility of needing to be cleaned after shipping and handling. This does three things: (1) It helps you know your item, (2) It helps you ensure your item is clean according to your standards, and (3) It removes any dust or grime that may have come from the shipping and delivery process.
***Unless noted in the description, we normally do not polish or repaint our inventory as many of our customers prefer the vintage patina look over a new painted or polished appearance.
***Please pay close attention to the pictures as they may show more than I may be able to explain.
***Please note that sometimes we enhance our pictures for sharpness and clarity.
***We aim to be good stewards of our planet; therefore, we may use or reuse boxes and/or packing that are clean and ship worthy.
***The year of manufacturing or year-it-was-made is an estimate based on experience, similar items, and/or appearance.
***Textiles and Fabrics such as linens, tapestries, clothing, tablecloths, or simple craft materials may be wrinkled or have lines upon arrival as they are folded for shipping. It is recommended they be laid out or hung up.
***As is common with pre-owned items they could have little marks that are not so easily detectable - we refer to these as vintage wear and rub marks. While I do personally inspect each item, I can miss small marks that may not show up with regular inside light. That being said, I try to be very picky and careful to make sure the details are explained truthfully, honestly, and upfront.
***Virtually all pre-owned items have vintage wear and rub marks. This is simply a term that we have coined to point out that because: (1) they are older, (2) most likely they are not in their original plastic, wrapping, or packaging, (3) have been stored, (4) transported, (5) and handled - they are very likely to have little, small, or slight discolorations, marks, places, wear, etc. Hence, this is why we often have longer descriptions. We try very hard to make sure you know what we know.
