The two beautiful glass kitchen canisters from Anchor Hocking are in excellent condition. The Anchor Hocking mark is located in the center of each bottom. The marks are very faint. The larger canister has a number 15 directly on top of the center mark. The mark on the smaller glass canister is more discernible. Also, there is a number 13 below the center mark on the bottom of the smaller canister. The smaller canister also shows that it was made in the USA. The mark on the bottom of the larger glass canister where the USA would normally be located is very faint but certainly appears to be USA.
Please note that the four ruby red goblets in the pictures are not included in this listing and were simply used for definition and scale purposes only.
The larger Anchor Hocking glass kitchen canister has a two-quart or eight-cup capacity.
The smaller Anchor Hocking glass kitchen canister has a one-quart or four-cup capacity
Both of these beautiful Anchor Hocking apothecary jars have their lids with accompanying plastic seals intact. The seals are in such great condition that the empty jar can be picked up simply by the shoulders of each lid. However, we do not recommend handling the jars in this manner. Also, while it might be rare, the size of the plastic could change depending on the climate. For example, in extreme heat plastic can become more malleable.
The gorgeous Wexford Diamond and Gingham relief on these two matching glass canisters is both timeless and elegant.
The smaller canister has a course feeling spot on the inside of the rim located in a seam. While it could be considered a rough spot at the seam, we believe it is actually a very shallow and small surfaced chip. This little place is hardly noticeable unless a finger is slowly moved along the inside of the rim. Other than this, there are no breaks, cracks, chips, or repair places on these beautiful glass canisters. While the bottoms appear to be super clean from virtually any vintage wear or rub marks, a different lighting angle could reveal some very faint vintage wear or rub marks. In addition they have been cleaned. The little grooves and lines on the exterior of the lids along with the interior and exterior of the sides were also cleaned. While they appear to be very clean, it is possible a different shade or angle of light might reveal a tiny cloudy spot (s). Another concern for apothecary jars with plastic seals around the lids, is that sometimes water and debris are stuck behind the plastic seal. However, the exterior of the lids were carefully cleaned with special attention being given to keep water infiltration into each lid at a minimum. If a drop of water went up into the lid behind the plastic seal, it was completely air dried and the seal was not tampered with or removed. While it is hardly noticeable, there are some very faint cloudy places inside the lids. But, each canister has to be held up in the light and rotated very slowly to find them.
The decorative possibilities for these beautiful glass canisters are many. The kitchen counter top will welcome these beautiful clear glass storage jars for their timeless and elegant Wexford Diamond and Gingham relief appearance. The display curio or china cabinet would be enhanced by the addition of these beautiful Anchor Hocking collectibles. Also, their clear glass appearance makes them perfect for holding colorful candies. For this same reason, they would make excellent storage jars for different craft supplies. In addition, the clear glass makes these perfect for holding colorful bath beads.
The collector will appreciate these beautiful clear glass Anchor Hocking canisters for their excellent condition and timeless Wexford Diamond and Gingham relief appearance.
The two glass kitchen canisters weigh 67.0 oz.
The larger two-quart Anchor Hocking glass apothecary jar measures 9" tall to the top of the lid and 7 9/16" tall to the top of the rim.
The square base of the larger glass canister measures approximately 4.75" wide across from outside to outside.
The shorter one-quart glass kitchen apothecary jar measures 6 3/8" tall to the top of the lid and 5" tall to the top of the rim.
The square base of this shorter Anchor Hocking glass kitchen canister measures 4 5/8" wide across from outside to outside.
The rims of both glass canisters measure 4 1/8" wide across from outside to outside with opening measurements of 3 5/8" across from inside to inside.

***Note on Measurements: All measurements are taken and described as close as possible. Where only an approximate measurement is available we will put approximately in the listing.
***Our Measurements for clothing are taken with the garment laying flat with closures fastened - zippers are zipped and buttons buttoned.
***The Bust measurement is obtained by measuring across the flat chest of the garment from armpit to armpit and then multiplying that number by two. To get the chest measurement simply divide the Bust by two.
***We clean our vintage inventory of surface dirt and dust before we list it on our site. We would not want to receive something dirty so we are not going to send our customers something with original dust or dirt. However please note that after shipping we recommend all items be cleaned thoroughly before use. This does three things: (1) It helps you know your item, (2) It helps you ensure your item is clean according to your standards, and (3) It removes any dust or grime that may have come from the shipping and delivery process.
***Unless noted in the description, we normally do not polish or repaint our inventory as many of our customers prefer the vintage patina look over a new painted or polished appearance.
***Please pay close attention to the pictures as they may show more than I may be able to explain.
***Please note that sometimes we enhance our pictures for sharpness and clarity.
***We aim to be good stewards of our planet; therefore, we may use or reuse boxes and/or packing that are clean and ship worthy.
***The year of manufacturing or year-it-was-made is an estimate based on experience, similar items, and/or appearance.
***Textiles and Fabrics such as linens, tapestries, clothing, tablecloths, or simple craft materials may be wrinkled or have lines upon arrival as they are folded for shipping. It is recommended they be laid out or hung up.
***As is common with pre-owned items they could have little marks that are not so easily detectable - we refer to these as vintage wear and rub marks. While I do personally inspect each item, I can miss small marks that may not show up with regular inside light. That being said, I try to be very picky and careful to make sure the details are explained truthfully, honestly, and upfront.
***Virtually all pre-owned items have vintage wear and rub marks. This is simply a term that we have coined to point out that because: (1) they are older, (2) most likely they are not in their original plastic, wrapping, or packaging, (3) have been stored, (4) transported, (5) and handled - they are very likely to have little, small, or slight discolorations, marks, places, wear, etc. Hence, this is why we often have longer descriptions. We try very hard to make sure you know what we know.
