The Rowe Pottery 1982 salt glaze stoneware chamber stick holder is in excellent condition. The beautiful cobalt blue floral accents with the clean blue lines on the rim and cup make this a very attractive and interesting piece of Rowe Pottery history. Chamberstick holders made in this turn-of-the-century style are getting harder to find and are apparently no longer available from this maker.

The Rowe Pottery company is known for its gorgeous ceramic treasures. This certain piece was made approximately 8 years after the company began. The date of 1982 is stamped into the bottom.

While it is hard to be for sure, the cup and the overage area do not show any remnants of wax which is a good indicator that this beautiful candleholder was never used.

The larger handle will hold two man-fingers very comfortably.

The name of the company along with their identification stamp is also located on the bottom of the chamber stick holder.

There are no breaks, cracks, chips, or repair places on this beautiful blue and gray candleholder. The bottom edge shows the transition where the glaze runs into the flat raw bottom.

The decorative opportunities for this candleholder are many. The display case or china cabinet would be enhanced with the addition of this gorgeous stoneware candleholder. The size of this candleholder allows it to be more likely to fit on a window sill or around a bathroom tub or vanity. Also, the height is perfect for simply showing it off on a coffee or end table.

The collector will appreciate this gorgeous piece of salt glaze stoneware for its excellent condition and beautiful design.

The Rowe Pottery 1982 salt glaze stoneware chamber stick holder weighs 14.4 oz.

The Rowe pottery candleholder measures 2 5/8" tall to the top of the handle and 2.25" tall to the top of the candle cup.

The rim stands 1 1/8" tall.

The round stoneware salt glaze candleholder is a little deeper at the handle area due to the handle hanging over the rim.

The round base is approximately 5 7/8" across from side to side.

The overall depth of the stoneware chamberstick holder is approximately 6 1/8" due to the handle hanging over the rim.

***Note on Measurements: All measurements are taken and described as close as possible. Where only an approximate measurement is available we will put approximately in the listing.

***Our Measurements for clothing are taken with the garment laying flat with closures fastened - zippers are zipped and buttons buttoned.

***The Bust measurement is obtained by measuring across the flat chest of the garment from armpit to armpit and then multiplying that number by two. To get the chest measurement simply divide the Bust by two.

***We clean our vintage inventory of surface dirt and dust before we list it on our site. We would not want to receive something dirty so we are not going to send our customers something with original dust or dirt. However please note that after shipping we recommend all items be cleaned thoroughly before use. This does three things: (1) It helps you know your item, (2) It helps you ensure your item is clean according to your standards, and (3) It removes any dust or grime that may have come from the shipping and delivery process.

***We do not polish or repaint our inventory as many of our customers prefer the vintage patina look over a new painted or polished look.

***Please pay close attention to the pictures as they may show more than I may be able to explain.

***Please note that sometimes we enhance our pictures for sharpness and clarity.

***We aim to be good stewards of our planet; therefore, we may use or reuse boxes and/or packing that are clean and ship worthy.

***The year of manufacturing or year-it-was-made is an estimate based on experience, similar items, and/or appearance.

***Textiles and Fabrics such as linens, tapestries, clothing, tablecloths, or simple craft materials may be wrinkled or have lines upon arrival as they are folded for shipping. It is recommended they be laid out or hung up.

***As is common with pre-owned items they could have little marks that are not so easily detectable - we refer to these as vintage wear and rub marks. While I do personally inspect each item, I can miss small marks that may not show up with a regular inside light. That being said, I try to be very picky and careful to make sure the details are explained truthfully, honestly, and upfront.

***Virtually all pre-owned items have vintage wear and rub marks. This is simply a term that we have coined to point out that because: (1) they are older, (2) most likely they are not in their original plastic, wrapping, or packaging, (3) have been stored, (4) transported, (5) and handled - they are very likely to have little, small, or slight discolorations, marks, places, wear, etc. Hence, this is why we often have longer descriptions. We try very hard to make sure you know what we know.
