The four Bent Bros solid maple bamboo style bar stools with industrial metal cross bracing are in great working condition. They have the Bent Brothers Gardner MA stamp on the bottom. The stamp is more pronounced on a couple of them. The bar stools have metal rods and metal bracing to help support their frame. The metal bracing appears to have been added later as the little holes do not have wooden plugs.
Please note that the pictures have been enhanced for clarity and sharpness.
The Bent Bros. company were known for making maple wood furniture. So, given the appearance of the wood along with their proclivity to use maple wood in their furnishings, we believe these barstools are made from high-quality solid maple wood.
There are no breaks, cracks, water damages, or repair places on the stools as far as we can tell. However, there are some vintage wear and rub marks on the Bent Brothers bar stools. The tops of the rungs where the feet rest have some wear - it is smooth wear where the stain is lighter on the tops. There are some tiny dots of white color - mainly on the legs - in some areas that are most likely due to a room being painted and the color getting on the legs. The little dots are hardly noticeable unless the barstools are picked up and pulled close to the eyes and inspected with a light.
The bar stools came from an estate sale so they have not been passed around different showrooms to receive a lot of wear.
As far as we can tell, sandpaper has not touched these pieces.
We have not applied any polish or stain to make them look good for pictures. They are simply this clean.
The barstools are absolutely gorgeous as they are right now. However, with solid maple furnishings, it is always very easy to stain them over again because the foundation is consistent.
The four Bent Brothers barstools are sturdy and made to be used.
In addition, the smooth bamboo theme legs with the simple round seats on these barstools appear to be very rare.
The legs of the barstools appear to have a bamboo theme shape. The way the maker shaped the legs with such smooth transitions is amazing.
The Bent Bros. chair company was known for making colonial-style furnishings. However, with the addition of the metal bracing, these beautiful barstools can also enter the industrial classification.
Another great thing about these barstools is that the industrial look does not overpower their appearance - it simply accents the beautiful golden brown color of the maple wood.
The decorative possibilities for these four barstools are many. Certainly, the kitchen is the go-to place for these beautiful maple treasures. However, there are four so if the countertop cannot hold more than two or three the look and design allow them to fit in with other home furnishings. The industrial style of these stools combined with their bamboo theme legs make them very interesting pieces of vintage furniture. However, regardless of which room these beautiful maple barstools are placed in, it is important to know that they can be used. They are not just for looks.
The collector will appreciate these four Bent Bros maple barstools for their great working condition and unique overall industrial tropical appearance.
The four Bent Brothers solid maple wooden barstools weigh a total of 600 oz. or 37 pounds and 8 oz.
Each Bent Brothers maple wood barstool measures approximately 25.5" tall x 14" wide across the seat from outside to outside.
Each barstool measures approximately 15.25" from one corner to the other.
While the measurements are very close on all the barstools, it is not uncommon to find a measurement that is a little longer or shorter in some places - approximately 1/8" to .25".

***We clean our vintage inventory of surface dirt and dust before we list it on our site. We would not want to receive something dirty so we are not going to send our customers something with original dust or dirt. However please note that after shipping we recommend all items be cleaned thoroughly before use. This does three things: (1) It helps you know your item, (2) It helps you ensure your item is clean according to your standards, and (3) It removes any dust or grime that may have come from the shipping and delivery process.
***We do not polish or repaint our inventory as many of our customers prefer the vintage patina look over a new painted or polished look.
***Please pay close attention to the pictures as they may show more than I may be able to explain.
***Please note that if sharpness or clarity is needed then we may enhance the pictures. By enhancing the pictures, our goal is to simply bring clarity to what is already there.
***We aim to be good stewards of our planet; therefore, we may use or reuse boxes and/or packing that are clean and ship worthy.
***The year of manufacturing or year-it-was-made is an estimate based on experience, similar items, and/or appearance.
***Textiles and Fabrics such as linens, tapestries, clothing, tablecloths, or simple craft materials may be wrinkled or have lines upon arrival as they are folded for shipping. It is recommended they be laid out or hung up.
***As is common with pre-owned items they could have little marks that are not so easily detectable - we refer to these as vintage wear and rub marks. While I do personally inspect each item, I can miss small marks that may not show up with a regular inside light. That being said, I try to be very picky and careful to make sure the details are explained truthfully, honestly, and upfront.
***Virtually all pre-owned items have vintage wear and rub marks. This is simply a term that we have coined to point out that because: (1) they are older, (2) most likely they are not in their original plastic, wrapping, or packaging, (3) have been stored, (4) transported, (5) and handled - they are very likely to have little, small, or slight discolorations, marks, places, wear, etc. Hence, this is why we often have longer descriptions. We try very hard to make sure you know what we know.
